Then you will visit Oshino Hakkai, a touristy set of eight ponds in Oshino on the site of a former sixth lake that dried out several hundred years ago. The eight ponds are fed by snow melt from the slopes of nearby Mount Fuji that filters down the mountain through porous layers of lava for over 80 years, resulting in very clear spring water that is revered by the locals.
Next, you will visit Lake Kawaguchi before going to Shizuoka Peace Park – which commands a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji and houses the chalky stupa. The stupa, the symbol of the park, keeps the Buddha’s ashes presented by late Indian Prime Minister Nehru. 4 golden images of Buddha are also housed.
Tonight we either enjoy the famous Kaiseki, a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner, or King crab buffet. Enjoy all facilities in the hotel and all kinds of hot spring spa.
